John P. Adams, age 73, of Canton passed away March 27th at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. Born in Boston, he was raised in Dorchester, graduated from Oliver Wendell Holmes High and was a Veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He has lived in Canton for the last 35 years and was a member of the American Legion Post # 24 in Canton and the American Legion Post #114 in Milton. John worked as a Custodian for Temple Beth Abraham for over 20 years. Beloved husband of the late Janet (Dwyer). Father of Raymond Cosgrove of Raymond, NH. Brother of Carol Bosader of Easton, Betty Callahan of Norwood, Dottie Austin of S. Attleboro, Vincent Adams of Easton, and Timothy Adams of RI. Also survived by 10 nieces and nephews. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Tuesday 6-8 pm. Funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist Church Canton Wednesday morning at 10:30.
