PIGNATELLI, Amelia M. (DeFilippo) Formerly of Newton, died at her home in Palm Bay, Florida, on March 19, 2018. Amelia would have been 88 on March 31st. Loving and devoted wife for 67 years of Robert Pignatelli. Loving and proud mother of Robert Pignatelli, Jr. and his wife Floriana, and Karen Pignatelli and her boyfriend J. Wesley Rawding. Loving and one-of-a-kind grandmother of Jamie Cashman, Leigh Chiasson, Corinne Schieffer, Cassandra Lombardo and Lisa Neal. Also survived by eight great-grandchildren. Daughter of the late Carmine and Maria DeFilippo. Sister of Isabelle Signore. Amelia was pre-deceased by her sister Michelina DiBartolomeo and her brothers Michael DeFilippo and John DeFilippo.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Ave., NEEDHAM, Wednesday, Mar. 28 at 10:00am followed by a Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, 1317 Centre St., Newton at 10:30am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visitation prior to Mass from 9:00-10:00am at the funeral home. Interment in Holyhood Cemetery, Brookline.
