Obituary

Beloved wife, mom, grandma,
and great-grandma
Moved home to heaven on Saint Patrick’s Day, March 17, 2018 at age 90 years, 7 months & 6 days. Preceded in death by cherished sons, Darrell Allen and Daniel Leroy. Survived by dear husband of 70 years, Arlend “Buzz” Wilson; daughters, Julie Ann (Jason) Pedro, Sandra Lee (Jon) Cobetto and Linda Arlene Wilson (Graham Costigan); grandchildren, Serafina Pedro, Daniel Maloney, Brian Cobetto (Nicole Andrews-Hokenson) & Kristina Cobetto (Pj Forseth); and great-grandchildren, Michael Arlend Cobetto, Jenna Pearl Cobetto and Anthony Jon Cobetto; (adopted) son, Doug (Sharon) Gilbertson; former son-in-law, John Maloney; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors. Edith was born in Saint Paul, MN to Vernett & Dorothy Mohr (nee Ludvigsen). They moved shortly thereafter to Lime Springs, IA. The Mohrs returned to Saint Paul in 1943. In 1947, Edie’s best friend, Alice and Buzz’s best friend, John introduced them. For Buzz it was love at first sight. It took Edie a little longer. They married 3 months later, setting up a home a few blocks from her family home on Saint Paul’s Eastside. The Wilson house became the place where all of the neighbors came for friendship, conversation and help with any problem or project. Edie and Buzz, together, provided an exemplary image of how to make a home. Memorial Service (3/29) 11:00 AM at SANDBERG FUNERAL HOME 2593 E. 7th Ave North St. Paul. Visitation one hour prior to service. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
