Obituary

WEBSTER – Marguerite “Marge” (Remy) Dion passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018 after a long and full life. Her husband of 43 years, Romuald “Don” Dion, died in 1988. She was also predeceased by her two brothers, Rev. Adrien T. Remy and Thomas Remy and by many other beloved family members, including her sister-in-law Lorraine Remy.

She was born in Webster, the daughter of Albert and Cora Remy and was a lifelong resident. She attended Saint Anne’s School and Bartlett High School.

She worked as the Assistant Town Clerk for the Town of Webster after high school. She and her husband then opened their own business, Don’s TV, selling televisions – the newest technology at the time. Marguerite spent several years caring for her ill mother while also raising her young family. She then began working for the Webster School System in the Webster Middle School cafeteria, retiring as Manager in 1991.

Mrs. Dion was a communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, a member of its Ladies of Saint Anne and a weekly adorer at the Blessed Sacrament Chapel. She was active in the parish all her life and volunteered for many events, including dressing angels, shepherds and kings for the annual Christmas Eve pageant at the church. She attended her children’s school plays, Boy Scout and Girl Scout activities, Little League games, and dance recitals. The greatest joy in her life came from her family: she relished family gatherings, holidays, and being with the ones she loved.

In her later years, she moved to Christopher Heights and then to Webster Manor. The family would like to thank the staff at both facilities for their care and compassion for Marguerite over the past several years.

Marguerite leaves three sons, Richard Dion and his wife Ora of Piermont, NH, Ronald Dion and his wife Donna of Bedford, NH, and David Dion and his wife Pamela of Dudley; 3 daughters, Jeanne Cusson and her husband Charles of Auburn, PA, Suzanne Johnson and her husband Kenneth of Oxford, and Lisa Mason and her husband Mark of Webster. She also leaves fifteen grandchildren, Aimee Crisanti, Patricia Reiter, Jessica Benoit, Alyssa Rodning, Seth Dion, Michele Talbot, Matthew Dion, Jeffrey Dion, Jonathan Dion, Christopher Cusson, Beth Clifford, Hilary Mason, Marisa Mason, Lindsey Mason, Olivia Mason and twelve great-grandchildren, Sam and Ryan Crisanti, Ruby Reiter, Will Benoit, Andrew Talbot, Nathan and Hannah Dion, Ashlee, Alisyn and Christopher Cusson, and Rylee and Reagan Clifford. Her memory and legacy live on through this big, beautiful family who will love and cherish her always.

A funeral Mass for Marguerite will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 26, in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main Street. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the church prior to the Mass.
