Obituary

Belmont-----Norman P. Bolduc, Sr. 86, of Belmont was called home on March 19, 2018. Norman was born April 23, 1931 the son of Marcellin and Agnes (McAuley) Bolduc.

He was raised and educated in Laconia. He served as a Sergeant in the US Air Force stationed in Savannah, GA from 1948 to 1952. And then moved to Manhattan Beach, CA in 1952 to pursue his studies at El Camino College. In 1954 he returned to Laconia and worked as a Patrol Sergeant for the Laconia Police Department from 1955 to 1959. From there he worked as an entrepreneur in the insurance industry, and as a real estate broker for many years. He also worked for the law firm of Normandin, Cheney & O’Neil as an investigator and then went on to work as the Director of Planning and Development for Lakes Region General Hospital. Norman was very active in his community serving on the Belmont School Board, a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church, a member of the Knight’s of Columbus. He was also served as a member of the NH House of Representatives representing the Town of Belmont. He would also want everyone to know that he was an avid Patriots fan.

Norman will always be remembered for his beautiful gardens and bird watching, his talent with oil painting, woodworking, and photography. In his most recent years he spent time researching genealogy mapping his family history back several generations. Norman and Cecile were very fortunate to have spent a great of time traveling Europe and seeing much of the United States and Canada.

Norman was the patriarch of his family and a leader in the community. Through his gentle sense of humor he revealed his deep love for his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was an inquisitive and intelligent who always showed passion and interests in the lives and pursuits of his children and grandchildren. He always matched his great-grandchildren's laughter in their play. He was loved greatly by many and memories of him will be cherished forever.

Norman fell in love with Cecile Simoneau on their first day of high school and have been in love ever since. His love for God and his country was evident through his actions in life.

Norman leaves behind his beloved wife of 67 years, Cecile A. (Simoneau) Bolduc, his children Richard Bolduc and his wife Lois of Belmont, Karen and husband Tim Burke of Sanbornton, Terry Roberts and husband Roy of Belmont, Kathleen Davis and husband Roger of Alton Bay, James Bolduc and his wife Jessica of Gilmanton, and John Bolduc of Laconia. He was the cherished grandfather of Christina, Martha, Owen, Jill, Beth, Lindsay, Kristin, Chelsea, Alison, Trask, and Annie. And the adored Great Grandfather (Papa) of Rachael, Brian, Ryan, Colin, Keegan, William, Madison, Amelia, Reid, Ethan, Bradley, Samuel, Tyler, Lincoln, Juliette, and McAuley. Norman was predeceased by his parents, and his son, Monsignor Norman P. Bolduc, Jr., and his brother Richard J. Bolduc.

There will be no calling hours.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 11:00am at St. Andre Bessette Parish- Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Ave. Laconia NH.

Burial will be follow with Military Honors in the family lot in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield Street, Laconia NH.
