"Best Mom Ever"

Mabel (Belle), Owens Wilson, 86, a long-time resident of Carver, died Monday, March 19, at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston. She was born in Middleboro to Madeleine and Bernard Owens and was raised in the “Swan House” on Main Street, Carver with her brothers Wayne and Philip.

She graduated from Plymouth High School, class of 1949. After her marriage to Warren H. Wilson in 1952, and building their home on West Street, they raised their family. She worked in the Town Hall of Carver in the Welfare Department, was a successful Amway distributor, and a bank teller for Plymouth Home National Bank. Her greatest joy in life was raising and enjoying her family.

Belle is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Stephen and Gay Wilson of Bridgewater; a daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Neal Tripp of Seattle, Washington; her brother, Philip J. Owens and his wife, Barbara, of Georgetown, Texas; four grandchildren, Rebecca, Jessica, Jonathan, and Tenley; four great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will take place at Lakenham cemetery before the celebration of her life will be held at the United Parish of Carver, 115 Main St, on Saturday, March 24th, at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to United Parish Church, PO Box 980, Carver, MA 02330 in Belle’s name will be appreciated.
