Marylou F. (Bergeron) Sergio, age 76, of Brockton, died Saturday, March 17, 2018, at the Good Samaritan Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family, after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her devoted husband of 46 years, Roger Roy Sergio. Marylou, born in Brockton, was a daughter of the late Norman S. and Margaret (Jones) Bergeron. Marylou was raised in Campello and attended The Huntington School. A 1960 graduate of Brockton High School, Marylou later graduated from the Newton-Wellesley School of Nursing, becoming a Registered Nurse. She worked for almost 30 years in the Operating Room at the Brockton Hospital. She loved helping people, especially her elderly patients.
Marylou was an animal lover. She lovingly enjoyed her dogs Nikki, Keno and Bergie. She will be remembered as a gentle, kind woman, a devoted wife and a loving mother and grandmother. Marylou’s greatest delight was watching her children and eight beloved grandchildren enjoying the pool and her famous strawberry shortcake. Her home was her sanctuary. She enjoyed the peace and comfort it brought her. Nothing made her happier than having large family cookouts and Italian family dinners.

Marylou leaves her children, Amy Morse and her husband Dan of North Easton, Justin Sergio and his partner Matthew Powers of Marblehead, Jennifer Marciano and her husband Stephen of Mansfield and Mandi Crump and her husband Brian of North Attleboro.
