Cheryl A. Bremilst, 61

Dateline: Norton, MA

Cheryl A. (Johnson) Bremilst, age 61, of Norton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur J. Bremilst, who died on August 26, 1992.

Born in Brockton, MA on November 3, 1956, she was a loving daughter of Paula J. (Blake) Johnson of East Falmouth and the late Donald E. Johnson.

Cheryl grew up in Brockton and was a graduate of Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School in Easton. She furthered her education, receiving a certificate as a dental hygienist.

An active part of the Norton VFW Post 8049, Cheryl worked at the post for the past seventeen years as a bartender, was a member of the Friends of the VFW and helped out in many events including the posts annual golf tournament.

She enjoyed spending time amongst her adoring family and friends. She loved the great outdoors, which included camping, fishing, golfing and the simple pleasure of relaxing at home by her pool. When younger and while her daughter was growing up, she worked in the cafeteria at the Norton Middle School.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her devoted daughter Dawn M. Bremilst of Rehoboth. She was the dear sister of Donna Finnegan and her husband Tom of East Falmouth and Nancy Chase of East Falmouth. She was the loving longtime partner of Michael Mulcahy of Norton and a special part of the Mulcahy family’s life. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins, and in the eyes of 4 little ones, she filled the role of “Grandma Cheryl” to Coral, Maxxon, Brody and Lilly.

Her funeral service, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Saturday, March 24th at 10:00 A.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave,) Norton. Burial will follow at the Timothy Plain Cemetery in Norton.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, March 23rd from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home.

In lieu of flower’s, Cheryl’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the Town of Norton Veterans, care of Norton Veterans Agent Estelle Fleck, 70 East Main St., Norton, MA 02766
