Patricia ‘Patty’ M. Poe, 74, of North Truro died at home on Thursday, March 15th after a brief illness. She was the wife of Michael Bothun.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, Patty was the daughter of the late George and Lillian (Sohrer) Schwartz. She grew up and was educated in the Sea Gate section of Coney Island. After spending time in New York, Patty moved to California where she met Michael, her friend and future husband of 49 years.
In 1995, they moved to North Truro. Patty kept busy, working and managing various retail outlets in the area, especially those specializing in jewelry.
However, her greatest impact was in the countless number of friendships she established over the years. Patty had a positive and infectious effect on all who knew her. She was kind, selfless to a fault, and always ready to lend a helping hand. She will be forever present in many people’s lives.
In addition to her husband Michael of North Truro, she leaves nephews Ross Cicero of Eastham and Donald Ortiz of Provincetown, several cousins, as well as countless friend both locally and around the country. She was predeceased in November by her beloved sister, Judy Cicero.
Services for Patty will be held at a time and date to be announced.
