Beloved Husband and Father
Of Lino Lakes, Minnesota
Passed away March 16, 2018 after a long illness. Doug was born and raised in Bay City, Michigan. He enjoyed fishing, the seasons of Minnesota, and loved to watch the Michigan Wolverines football team. He loved being the father of two beautiful children. Even though he was a resident of Minnesota for over 30 years he was very fond of saying “We wouldn’t put up with that in Michigan”. Preceded in death by his father Douglas; grandparents Harry (Hilda) and Edward (Sydney) Baumgarten; & nephew Daniel Marjchrzak. Survived by loving wife of 27 years, Sara; children Alexandria “Ali” & Jon; mother Patricia; sister Christian “Chris” (Mark) Marjchrzak and their children Sarah and Caroline; brother Edward (Beth) and their children Hanna, Claire, and Hope; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Memorial Service on Tuesday, March 20th, 2018 11:00 AM at WHITE BEAR UNITARIAN UNIVERSALIST CHURCH 328 Maple Street, Mahtomedi, MN 55115 with visitation one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to The Organ Transplant Program at the University of Minnesota Health Solid Organ Transplant Clinic.
