Leatrice Whitley, 91, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Friday, March 16, 2018, at Palemon Gaskins Memorial Nursing Home in Ocilla, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held 2 PM, Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at Brushy Creek Cemetery in Irwin County, Georgia with Elder Charles Tyson officiating.
Ms. Whitley was born February 7, 1927, in Irwin County, Georgia, to the late Jake & Leona Hickman Whitley. She lived in the community all of her life and was a homemaker. Ms. Whitley attended Old Valley Grove Primitive Baptist Church.
She is survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers: Howard Whitley, Virgil Whitley, Burnice Whitley, Varnell Whitley and Thomas Whitley; seven sisters: Matha Sandifer, Vercia Purvis, Annie Lou Martin, Cola Fussell, Velma Rowell, Geneva Cromer and Ometta Fletcher; and a special friend, Cecil Gray.
