Larry Gregory, 78, of Sycamore passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018 at his residence.
Born on June 5, 1939 to the late Lewis Simpson and Lizzie Mae Hamblin Gregory, he was a self-employed truck driver. Larry served his country with honor in the United States Army during the Cuban Missle Crisis. He was also a member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Copeland Gregory of Sycamore; son, Kevin (Rhonda) Gregory of Arabi; brothers, Roy (Shirley) Gregory of Pittsboro, Mississippi, Lader (Jane) Gregory of Pittsboro, Mississippi and Paul D. (Jackie) Gregory of Pittsboro, Mississippi; sister, Lola (Pete) McGee of Meridian, Mississippi; grandchildren, Bryan (Sarah Reed) Gregory, Katlyn (Brady) Hardy, Gabie (Tate) Whiddon, Gavin Townson and Tripp Wynn; great-grandchildren, Cohen Hardy, Remi Lynne Hardy and Eslee Whiddon.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Angie Wynn, one brother and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 19, 2018 at 11:00 AM in Rocky Mount Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends Sunday, March 18, 2018 from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
