In, Taunton, March 16, 2018, Ines (Lourenco) DeSousa wife of the late Americo DeSousa passed away at her residence surrounded by her loving family at the age of 87. Born on the island of Flores, Azores, moved to Taunton in 1972, was the daughter of the late Jose & Isabel (Ramos) Lourenco. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, watching the televised Mass and being with her son’s dog, Godiva. Ines was the mother of Jose Olavo DeSousa and wife Jean of Taunton, Maria Ivone DeBarros and husband Vasco of Taunton, Jose Antonio DeSousa and wife Diane of Berkley, Jose Alberto DeSousa and wife Christine of Fall River and the late Jose Octavio Sousa. Grandmother of Octavio Sousa, Ana Faria and husband Albert of Taunton, Nelson DeBarros of Washington, DC, Isabelle DeBarros and Angela DeBarros of Taunton, Stacey Maciel and husband Ryan of Chestnut Hill, Jake DeSousa of CA, Kristyn DeSousa of Berkley and Justin DeSousa of Fall River. Great grandmother of Colby Sousa and sister of Pedro Lourenco of CA, and the late Jose Lourenco, Maria Ramos and Maria Rodrigues. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. Services are private at the request of the family and arrangements are under the care of the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home in Taunton, MA.
