Connie S. (Cripe) Combs, 69, of Anderson died March 14, 2018 at Community Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born September 16, 1948 in Anderson, the daughter of Clyde S. and June (Everhart) Cripe.
She was a seamstress and a homemaker. She was a member of several sewing and quilting clubs. She had previously worked at Society/Key Bank for several years.
She is survived by her husband of 23 years, John A. Combs, sons, Brent (Andrea) Cox of Indianapolis and Jason Samuels of Georgia; three stepchildren, Melissa Rogers, Elizabeth McGinnis and Ryan Combs all of Georgia; four brothers, Gary Cripe, Scott (Michelle) Cripe, Greg (Bonnie) Cripe, David (Dina) Cripe; four grandchildren, Adam Cox, Ethan Cox, Leah Cox and Erica Cox; eight step-grandchildren, Zakary, Macey, Colin, Madolyn, Megan, Mallory, Andrew and Brandon; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Randy Cripe.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Dr. Art Jaggard officiating.
Burial will follow in East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to Madison County Humane Society.
