Lois was an avid reader of fiction, poetry, and loved a good mystery. She was exceptional at mathematics, a dedicated solver of crossword puzzles, was well-versed in politics and history, and enjoyed a healthy debate and playing bridge. Music and singing brought Lois together with Jim and remained a lifelong pleasure.

Lois had strong faith and was a proud graduate of Notre Dame Academy in Boston. She was accepted to Newton College of the Sacred Heart. For many years Lois worked in the accounting department at Instrumentation Laboratories in Lexington; she enjoyed working and commuting with good friends.
