Donald J. Becker, age 66, of Onset, formerly of Franklin, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence.
Born in Winthrop, MA on January 9, 1952, he was a loving son of Beverly (Berry) Becker of Onset and the late Donald E. Becker.
Don spent his early childhood living in Winthrop. His family moved to Franklin in 1959, where he grew up and was a 1971 graduate of Franklin High School.
A resident of Onset for nearly twenty years, Donald worked as a maintenance worker at the Life Care Center in Plymouth, prior to retiring.
Don enjoyed spending time amongst family and friends. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed gardening and had a special place in his heart for animals.
In addition to his mother, he was the dear brother of Virginia D. Gomes of Salinas, CA, David M. Becker of Marblehead, and Paul R. Becker and his wife of Kathleen of Taunton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Services and burial at the Massachusetts National Cemetery will be held privately at the convenience of his family.
Visiting hours are omitted and those wishing may remember Donald with a donation in his memory made to ones local animal shelter.
