Yvonne (Lachapelle) Correia, age 83 a resident of Somerset Ridge Center, and formerly of McDonald St. Fall River, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2018 in St. Anne’s Hospital with her loving family by her side. Born in Fall River she was the beloved wife of the late James Correia and the daughter of the late Romeo Lachapelle and the late Lillian (Gaudreau) Lachapelle. Prior to retiring, Yvonne worked as a Seamstress in the Garment Manufacturing Industry, and loved spending time with her family and playing bingo.
She is survived by her Children: Jim Correia (wife Susan) of Middletown, RI, Donna Correia (partner Jeff) of Middletown, RI, Jeffrey Correia of Georgia, and Michelle DeHass (Husband Richard) of Fall River; Siblings: Rose Medeiros of Somerset, Helen Urban of Fall River, Lillian Chapman of Tiverton, Roger Lachapelle of MA, Ray Lachapelle of Fall River, and Phil Lachapelle of Florida; Grandchildren: Heather, Rachel, & Jackie Correia, Kelley Alexander, Colby Maurice, Jenna Germany, Jeffrey Ostroski, Melanie Correia, Alysha & Ryan DeHass; Great Grandchildren: Cameron Cabral, J.J. Turner, Bella & Amelia Alexander; many nieces & nephews. Yvonne was also the sister of the late Lorraine Mullaney, Julie Janson, Leo, Robert, Romeo, Gerald, & Hank Lachapelle

Yvonne’s Private Funeral Services are under the direction of the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River.
