Gloria A. Baillargeon, 76, of North Smithfield died Monday March 12, 2018 at Hope Hospice & Palliative Care Philip Hulitar Center in Providence. She was the loving wife of Richard P. Bailargeon. They were married on September 9, 1967 and celebrated their 50th anniversary last year.
Born in Woonsocket she was daughter of the late Fernand and Amelia (Grassi) Godbout. She was raised in Blackstone and resided in North Smithfield since 1970. She was a graduate of Community College of Rhode Island where she earned her LPN. She was employed at the Zambrano State Hospital and also worked as a licensed hairdresser.
Gloria’s family was at the center of her life. Family time and activities she planned and managed were filled with love and laughter.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons Brian Baillargeon and his wife Tiffany of North Smithfield and Mark Baillargeon of Newport, a daughter Stephanie Pacheco and her husband Dilor of Woonsocket. She was the sister of Ernest Godbout of Bellingham and Linda Dillon of Sharon, MA. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10:00 am in Our Lady Queen of Martyr’s Church, Park Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association 1 State St. # 200 Providence, RI. 02908.
