LYMAN- Clyde Nelson Wood, age 86, passed away on March 11, 2018 at his home in Lyman, surrounded by his beloved family.
He was born in Buxton on Nov. 18, 1931, a child of the late Alton and Elsie (Look) Wood.
After attending Buxton schools, Clyde went on to work at Milford Crane in CT, Kesselin Shoe in Kennebunk, and Hussey Seating in North Berwick until his retirement.
He enjoyed hunting& fishing, NASCAR, and working on vehicles and projects.
Clyde was very active in the Masons. He was a member of Jeptha Lodge #95 AF & AM in Clinton, CT, Kora Shrine, several York Rite organizations, and attended Lodge meetings in York county.
He is predeceased by all his siblings.
Clyde is survived by his children- Jo-Ann Rowell and her husband Ronald of Lyman, Dorothy Buzzell and her husband Harry of Buxton, and Cheryl Weymouth of Sanford; grandchildren- Jennifer, Donna, Heather, Andrew,Jeffrey, Sara, Shawn, Ashley, and Johnny; many great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday March 16, from 5 – 7 PM at the Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 498 Long Plains Road (Rt. 22) in Buxton. The visiting hours will conclude with a Masonic Funeral Service at 7 PM. Burial will be in the spring at South Buxton Cemetery.
