Obituary

GILFORD, NH - On Saturday, March 10th, 2018, Paul C. Cowdrey lost his battle to pulmonary fibrosis.

Paul was a life-long resident of Bedford, Massachusetts until he retired to his most favorite place, Lake Shore Park, Gilford, New Hampshire. Paul was born in Somerville Massachusetts on April 17th, 1948 to the late Muriel (Black) Cowdrey and Ralph W. Cowdrey.

Paul leaves his sister Miriam LaFort of Naples Florida, his brothers Jeffrey D. Cowdrey and Scott P. Cowdrey and his companion Lynn Oates of Gilford New Hampshire. He also leaves his nieces and nephews, Brenda Wynters, Bryan LaFort, Julie Woznac and Kevin Cowdrey as well as five great nieces, one great nephew and many wonderful friends.

Paul served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era. When he came home, he worked for many years as a carpenter with Scotsman in Bedford, Massachusetts and later as a maintenance mechanic at several companies including Progress Software and Millipore Corporation also of Bedford. Paul was an extremely knowledgeable guy who enjoyed watching Jeopardy, old movies, model boat building, puzzles, word searches and relaxing on his deck with a good book.

There will be no formal services, per Paul’s wishes. A celebration of his life will be held this summer.
