Obituary

Richard F. Cashman age 75 Of Middleboro, formerly of Halifax, died peacefully at his home on Saturday March 10, 2018 after a lengthy battle with ALS. Dick was born and raised in Brockton a son of the late George and Margaret (Gould) Cashman and was a 1960 graduate of Brockton High School. He had served in the US Naval Reserve.

Dick had been an electrician and member of the I.B.E.W. Local 223 in Brockton. He had spent most of his electrical career at the Pilgrim Power Plant in Plymouth where he was the head steward. Dick’s passion was cars and drag racing at the New England Dragway in Epping, NH. He enjoyed spending much of his time in his garage working on his projects. Most importantly, Dick loved spending time with his family and friends.

Dick is survived by his children Maureen Reilly and Michael Cashman both of Middleboro. He was “Bubba” to Ryan, Katie and Jake Reilly and the brother of Joseph Cashman and his wife Diane of W. Bridgewater. He also leaves 3 nephews.

Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (rte. 123) Brockton on Thursday 5-8pm. A funeral Service will be celebrated on Friday at the funeral home at 10am.
