Obituary

DUE TO IMPENDING STORM CALLING HOURS AND FUNERAL HAVE BEEN RESCHEDULED .

Calling hours will be THURSDAY, March 15, from 4-8 p.m.. His funeral procession will begin on FRIDAY, March 16, at 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. at St. Williams Church., 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Interment services to be held in the Chapel at St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury.

TEWKSBURY: Lance C. Joyce, age 53, a lifelong resident of Tewksbury, passed away at home in the care of his family, following a courageous 2 ½ year battle with cancer on Wednesday, March 7, 2018.

He was the beloved husband of Angela DeLuca-Joyce, with whom he celebrated their 9th wedding anniversary on August 8, 2017.

Born in Woburn on July 11, 1964, he was the son of Joanne (Shaski)(Joyce) Marsden and her husband Bill of Salem, NH and the late James D. Joyce.

Lance attended Tewksbury schools and graduated from Shawsheen Valley Technical School in 1983.

Prior to his diagnosis, he was employed as a subcontract materials handler for the Market Basket Company in Tewksbury.

Lance enjoyed spending time with his family, and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons, Thomas J. Joyce and Timothy L. Joyce, both of Tewksbury; two step-daughters, Steffanie DeLuca-Gifford and Sarah DeLuca-Gifford, both of Tewksbury; two brothers, Scott D. Joyce and his wife Cheryl, and Dean M. Joyce and his wife Dianne, all of Pelham, NH. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Calling hours are Thursday, March 15, from 4-8 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. His funeral procession will begin on Friday, March 16, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by is Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. at St. Williams Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Interment at St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to V.N.A. Hospice & Palliative Care, 100 Trade Center, G-500, Woburn, MA 01801.
