Obituary

Mr. Bernard C. Chioccariello, a longtime resident of Medford and beloved husband of Rose A. (Olson) Chioccariello, passed away at the Courtyard Nursing Center in Medford on Friday morning, March 9, 2018. He was 81 years old.

Born in Boston's North End, on March 4, 1937, he was the beloved son of the late Bernard and Rose (Congiamilia) Chioccariello. Bernard was employed as a Manager for Stiller Inc., a company that sold restaurant equipment for more than 60 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed running and fitness. He also was an avid sports fan and loved music and his TV He will be dearly missed.

Besides his beloved wife, Rose, he is survived by his loving children; Arlene R. and her husband Michael T. Maloney of Wilmington, John B. and his wife Jacqueline M. Chioccariello of Arlington and Carl D. and his wife Jennifer L. Chioccariello of Wilmington, grandchildren; Michael, Emily, Patrick, Haley, Paul and Charles, sister; Dominica “Minnie” Costin of Winthrop and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Raphaella “Chickie” Gardinella, Mary Fantasia and John and Jenny Chioccariello.

His Funeral Service will be held in the Woodlawn Chapel, 302 Elm Street, Everett on Thursday, March 15, 2018, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Visiting hours will be held in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford on Wednesday, March 14, 2018, from 4 to 8 PM. Interment will be held in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bernard’s memory may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 60 Walnut Street, # 102, Wellesley, MA 02481.
