Vera “Susan” Zachadnyk, 90, of Spring Street, passed on February 3, 2018 at The Holiday, Lincoln.
Susan, a life long resident of Lincoln, was the daughter of the late Theodore and Eva (Pahumski) Zachadnyk. After retiring in 1988 from a lengthy career at Brown and Sharpe, Susan remained active by exercising regularly at the Lincoln Senior Center and swimming at the Community College pool. She traveled extensively with her sister, Irene, and friend, Madeline Sherman.
Susan is survived by her sisters Olga Despres of Smithfield, and Irene Roe of Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, sister-in-law, Helen Zachadnyk of Cumberland, nieces and nephews. Susan was the sister of the late Taras Zachadnyk, Theordore Zachadnyk, Mary Zachadnyk, Myrtle Reil and Anne Weller.
Susan was a kind and gentle soul who will be missed. Susan’s funeral service and burial at the Ukrainian Cemetery in Lincoln will be private and held at a later date in the spring.
