Obituary

Richard A. Acciavatti, age 66 of Brockton, died peacefully at his home, surrounded by family, March 2, 2018. He was the loving husband for 40 years of Patricia A. (Roy) Acciavatti. Rick was born in Quincy, a son of the late Edward and Lillian (LaMarine) Acciavatti. He was a graduate of Quincy High School, had been employed by Amtrak for 19 years, and retired from the Professional Services Group, Inc. water treatment facility. Rick was a genuine family man who adored time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed deep sea fishing, gardening and refinishing furniture. Always putting others first, in 1991 he was awarded two Life Saving Awards by The Humane Society of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for his role in saving two lives.

Rick was the father of Keith, Anthony, Tina and the late Dominic Acciavatti and grandfather of Alex, Adriana, Alana, Giovanni and Weston Acciavatti. He was the brother of Edward Acciavatti and his wife Margo, Peter and his wife Virginia and the late Linda Towle and Pamela Mignosa. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Sunday, March 11, from 12-3pm, followed by a celebration of his life at 3pm.
