Obituary

Mr. Horace M. Baril, 94 of North Andover, passed away Sunday at his home. Son of the late Leomce and Rose (Ouellette) he was born in Lawrence, Mr. Baril had been an area resident all of his life. He served honorably in the United States Navy during WWII on the USS Alabama and the USS Wisconsin earning the rank of Radioman 2nd class. Mr Baril deployed to both the Asiatic-Pacific theater and the European, African - Middle Eastern Theater. Upon returning home he worked on the construction of the Hoover Dam and was employed at Western Electric till his retirement. Mr. Baril was a member of the USS Alabama Crewmans Association and the Pioneers of Western Electric. He is survived by his wife of 70 years Gertrude (Cote) Baril, One daughter; Chantal Perry, four sons; Bertrand Baril, David Baril, Dale Baril, and Bruce Baril as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Friday March 9th at Our Lady Of Good Counsel, St. Theresa Church on 22 Plymouth St. In Methuen, burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery veteran section.
