Mr. Luis A. Caratini Jr., 84, of Lawrence passed away on February 24th at the Royal Woodmill Nursing Home. Born in Puerto Rico, Mr. Caratini had been an area resident for over 40 years. He worked as a mechanic before his retirement. Mr. Caratini served honorably in the United States Air Force a Fire Fighter. Mr. Caratini was the Widower of Andrea (Esquilin) Caratini and the father of the late Jose Antonio Caratini. He is survived by one daughter; Cindy Quinunes, one son; Luis Caratini III, two sisters Hilda Hernandez, and Elia Caratini, and one brother; Rigoberto Caratini. There are 7 grandchildren, one great granddaughter and one great-great grandson. one sister-in-law Lydia Caratini as well several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call on Thursday, March 1st from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Edgar J. Racicot Inc. Funeral Home, 1400 Broadway Rd. Dracut, MA 01826. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary Church in Lawrence on Friday, March, 2nd at 10:00 am, burial will follow with military honors in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in the Veteran Section.
