Herve William Vandal, 99, of New Bedford died Friday February 23, 2018. He was the husband of the late Gladys (Allison) Vandal.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Henry and Julia (Bernier) Vandal, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.
Mr. Vandal was the proprietor of Vandal's Cyclery on Dartmouth Street in New Bedford for many years.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his sons, Herve W. Vandal, Jr. and Wayne Vandal; his companion and caregiver, Juanita L. Teixeira; his niece, Joan Zinc; and several grandchildren.
His Funeral Service will be held on Thursday March 1, 2018 at 11 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery.
