Mary A. (Roscoe) Medeiros, 95, of New Bedford died Monday February 19, 2018 at St. Luke's Hosptial. She was the wife of the late Frank Medeiros.
Born in Birkenhead, England, the daughter of the late Sydney and Mary Agnes (Morgan) Roscoe, she came to this country in 1953 and had lived in New Bedford since her marriage in 1958.
Mrs. Medeiros was formerly employed as a winder at the Acushnet Company Golf Ball Division. She later worked for Coastline Elderly Meals on Wheels Program.
She served in the Royal Navy for seven years as an officer's steward.
She is survived by her nephews, John Souza and Mark Souza; her sisters-in-law, Beatrice Souza, Margie Mello, and Mary Mainville; and her close friend and caregiver, Diane Thibodeau.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday Feb. 23rd at 9:30 AM in St. Mary's Church, Tarkiln Hill Road. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting hours are omitted.
