Maria Y. (Schenna) Barry of Medford died on Monday, February 19, at the Woburn Nursing Center. Born in Westfield, she was the daughter of the late Marcello and Carolina (Battistoni) Schenna.
Maria was the beloved wife of the late James R. Barry, and the devoted mother of Linda J. Davis of Medford, James M. Barry of Waltham, Ann Marie Barry of Easton, William D. Barry and wife Nancy of Billerica, John K. Barry of Tewksbury and his partner Cathy Rossi, Timothy F. Barry of Medford, and Thomas R. Barry and partner Moira Gleeson of Tewksbury. She was the loving grandmother of Dawn Viliott and husband Paul, the late Jennifer Hogan and her surviving husband Mark, Tiffani, Kristina, Danielle, James R., Timothy P. and Ryan T. Barry, the loving great grandmother of Devany Davis-Marshall and husband Dan, Kayla Davis, Emily and Lindsey Hogan, and Dario and Lia Viliott, and great great grandmother of Dilynn Marshall. Maria is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Saturday, February 24 at 10:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis Of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Visiting hours Friday 4 - 8 PM.
