Obituary

Grafton: Jean F. (Tremblay) Quilliam, 75, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 16, 2018, at her home surrounded by family. She is survived by her best friend and husband of 50 years Bruce L. Quilliam Sr. She also leaves a son Bruce L. Quilliam Jr. and his wife Jing of NY; a daughter Robyn Quilliam and her partner Scott Foster of Worcester; three grandchildren- Andrew Quilliam, Ian and Seth Foster; a Godchild Kim Deely of Grafton and her three children- Sean, Matthew, and Thomas Deely. She leaves behind three sisters-Loraine Charest, Irene Salonis, and Elaine Bourbeau; her four brothers Lawrence Tremblay, Arthur Tremblay, Edward Tremblay, Donald Tremblay. Jean is predeceased by her brother Julius Tremblay Jr. and sister Dorothy (Tremblay) St. Armand. She also leaves numerous sister and brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends, all of whom she loved dearly.

Jean was born in Worcester, daughter of Julius and Helga (Erikson) Tremblay. Jean lived in NY for 33 years before returning to Grafton in 2015. Jean was compassionate, kind, caring and a great giver of gifts. She painted gorgeous ceramics and offered some as presents to many family members. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Jean and Bruce cultivated an amazing flower garden for over 20 years. Every morning their ritual was to sit on the patio, watch the birds, and look out at their garden. For the last decade she was gripped by dementia, yet the disease never took her smile, laugh, and the brightness in her eyes. She is now free in eternity…

Memorial calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 5-8pm at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St, Worcester. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 23 at 11am at St. Bernard's Church of Our Lady of Providence Parish, 236 Lincoln St, Worcester. There is no burial.
