Guenthner Henry M. “Hank” of West Roxbury, February 14, 2018. Beloved husband of Jean R. (Meldrum) Guenthner. Loving father of Paul and his wife Eileen of Natick, Ellen Tierney and her husband Joe of Foxboro, Dan and his wife Diane of Wrentham, Beth McCallum and her husband Joe of Easton, and Karla Frawley and her husband John of Norwood. Loving Grandfather of Joseph, Connor, Leia, Bridget, Kyle, Erik, Grace, Norah, Celia, Thomas, and Violet. Brother of John Guenthner of Standish Maine and the late Eunyce and Phyllis and his late stepbrothers Sam, Tom, Dick and Mike Ruo. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home 2055 Centre St. West Roxbury on Monday, February 19th at 9 am followed by a funeral mass in St. Theresa of Avila Church at 10 o’clock. Visiting hours, Sunday 4 pm – 8 pm. Relatives and friends invited. No graveside service. Hank was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran and life-long active member of the West Roxbury community. He was a dedicated coach and mentor to many Parkway area youth in both baseball and basketball. His love of softball and passion for the sport afforded him a lifetime of extraordinary friendships.
