FALL RIVER… Stella A. (Krawczyk) Medeiros, 97, of Fall River passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Southpointe Rehabilitation.
She was the widow of Alfred Medeiros.
Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Wojcieck and Apolonia (Kosiba) Krawczyk and had been a lifelong resident of this city.
Mrs. Medeiros was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church, Fall River where she was a member of the Woman’s Guild and had received the Marian Medal from Bishop O’Malley. She worked for many years as a Laborer in the local Textile Industry prior to her retirement and as a Cook at St. Joseph’s Rectory. She enjoyed running the Gift Shop at Southpointe on Sundays, going out to eat, day trips to Foxwoods and spending time with her family.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Julia Potvin, Mary Pypniowski, Louise Bernat and Edward Krawczyk.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Thursday at 10:30 AM from the Boyko Memorial Funeral Home, 709 Broadway Fall River, MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at St. Joseph’s Church, 1335 North Main St. Fall River, MA. Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, Fall River, MA. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 8:30 to 10:30 AM, prior to her funeral.
