Obituary


Ronald Allen Everett, 70, of Middleboro, passed away on February 1, 2018 after a short illness. He was a devoted husband to his wife Linda of 39 years. He was proceeded in death by his parents Ronald C. Everett and Irma Everett. Loving father of Denise M. Lowe, Brian D. West, Adam B. West and Matthew S. West. He was blessed with 14 grandchildren and a great granddaughter. Brother of Gene C. Everett, Darlene R. Stewart, Wayne M. Everett, Lorrain B.Walsh and Mark D. Everett, half sisters Susan M. Heyes and Beverly E. Duhaine. He also has several nieces, Nephews and great nieces and nephews. Ronald was a United States Marine Corps veteran of Vietnam and part of Secret Unit, the 1st Searchlight Battery, and survived the Segie at Khe Shan. He received a Purple Heart along with other medals. He also served in the US Marine Corps Reserves at Naval Air Station in Weymouth. Mr. Everett was a Police Officer in Rockland, MA for 31 years, retiring in 2009. He was a member and past Commandant of the Marine Corps League #1306 and military order of the Devil Dogs. Ronnie Was also a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Military Order of the Purple Heart, Blue Knights MA I Motorcycle Club and the Massachusetts Police Association. Visiting Hours will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main St, Carver on Friday, February 9, from 4:00 to 8:00PM. A Funeral Service will be held at the United Parish on Main St. Carver on Saturday, February 10, at 10:00AM. Interment will follow at Central Cemetery Carver. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ronald's name to Plymouth Marine Corps League P.O Box 1366 Plymouth MA, 02362 or New England C.O.P.S (Concerns of Police Survivors) 6 Victoria St, Everett, MA 02149.
