Obituary

George A. McPeck, age 92, of Middleboro, formerly of Brockton, died peacefully at his home, Saturday, February 3, 2018 with his God sent angel on earth, his caregiver, Betie by his side. George was the beloved husband for 69 years of the late Dorothy (Pigg) McPeck. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late James and Helen (McCarthy) McPeck. He served in the Navy during World War II as a Gunners Mate 3rd class on the USS Price. Following his discharge, he became a Master Electrician with the IBEW Local 103 for over 30 years. George had a strong faith and had a lifelong devotion to St. Anthony. He enjoyed watching the Red Sox and Patriots games, but mostly loved to spend time with his wife Dorothy, whom he adored.

George is survived by his six daughters Dee Liggerio and her husband Dave, Mary Alves and her husband Bobby, Karen Brown and her husband Alan, Carol McGillis and her husband Danny, Susan McPeck and Peggy Watts and her husband Brad; 15 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late John McPeck and brother of the late Rita, James, Raymond and Robert McPeck.

A Funeral Mass will be held in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 433 West Street, Brockton, Friday, February 9, at 10am, followed by burial in Melrose Cemetery. Visiting Hours are omitted.
