Alice (Pinkie) E. (Casey) Shea, Age 93 of South Dennis and Newton, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2018. Her husband Edmund J. Shea precedes her in death. Alice is survived by her two sisters Mary Louise Callahan, and Janet Corrigan; five daughters, Lynda A. Beiling of Harwich, Mary C. O’Sullivan and her husband Edward of Osterville, Eileen E. Meggison and her husband, Bernard of Harwich, Susan M. Devaney of Westwood, Kathleen R. Martin and her husband Al of Chelmsford, one son, James E. Shea and his wife Rubing of Grafton. Eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Alice enjoyed many years singing with the Cape Chordaires, she loved crossword puzzles and was an avid reader who spent many hours in “her chair” engrossed in a good book.
A service for family and close friends will be held at John Everett Funeral and Sons Home 4 Park Street at Natick Common ,on Friday, February 9, 2018 at 12 :00 Noon ,burial will follow in St Patrick Cemetery. visitation beginning at 11:00 A.M. prior to the service. A celebration of her life will be held on her beloved Cape Cod at a later date.
Donations may be made in Alice’s name to the Reach Out and Read program at Boston Children’s Hospital.
