Mrs. Maria Tringali, of Woburn passed away peacefully, January 31, 2018, following a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of Domenico Tringali.
Born in Augusta, Sicily, Italy, Maria came to the United States when she was 16 years old. She settled with her family in the West End of Boston. She later lived in Somerville for 25 years before making Woburn her home nearly 35 years ago. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed sewing. Her greatest joy was her family and she cherished being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a tremendous cook and nothing made her happier than to be surrounded by those she loved.
In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by her devoted children, Joseph Tringali and his wife Mary of Nashua, NH, Carmela Tringali of Woburn, Luci Connell and her husband Mike of Peabody, and Salvatore Tringali of Morrisville, NC. She was the loving nonni of Dominique Higgins, Domenic, Christine, Gabrielle and Andrew Tringali, David and Mary-Kate Connell. Cherished sister of Elena Serra of Revere.
Funeral services will be held from the Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 374 Main St., WILMINGTON, Wednesday, February 7th, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in St. Anthony Church, 851 Main St., Woburn, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
