Theresa L. St. John-Latta
Former Modeling & Pageant Director

TEWKSBURY: Theresa L. (Langley) St. John-Latta, age 72, a resident of Tewksbury for 55 years, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2018, at her home in the care of her family and Merrimack Valley Hospice, following a two year courageous battle with cancer.

She was the beloved wife of retired Tewksbury Police Officer, William J. Latta, Sr. with whom she would have celebrated their 32nd wedding anniversary on June 14, 2018.

Born in Cambridge on January 2, 1946, she was the daughter of the late John M. Langley, Sr. and the late Louise T. (Hopkins) Langley.

Terri was raised in Somerville, attended Somerville schools and graduated from Somerville High School.

Prior to her retirement, she worked in the fashion modeling industry for the Barbizon School of Modeling in Boston, and for the Miss and Teen U.S.A. Pageant System. In addition, Terri previously owned and operated America’s Tiny Tots Pageant System.

Following her career in the Modeling and Pageant Industry, Terri worked for Tewksbury Transit Company as a bus driver for special needs children.

Terri loved the ocean and boating, and was a member of the Winter Hill Yacht Club.
She and her husband enjoyed cruising aboard their boat named “Rowmantic” along the coasts of Maine and Cape Cod.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by seven children, Kimberly Moore of Sarasota, FL, Roberta St. John Maynard of Billerica, Charlene Mountcasel of Chelmsford, James E. Latta of Lowell, Wendy A. Latta of Oregon, Christine M. Latta of Lawrence, and William J. Latta, Jr. of Lowell; two sisters, Suzanne Sieg of Sarasota, FL, and Laura Bickford of Old Orchard Beach, ME; also thirteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Calling hours are Sunday, February 11th, from 12-5 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Her funeral procession will begin on Monday, February 12th, at 9 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Interment at St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Lowell General Hospital Cancer Center, 295 Varnum Ave., Lowell, MA 01854.
