Joyce Sonnenberg, 85, of Foxboro passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018 at Study Memorial Hospital, surrounded by the comfort of her family, after a period of failing health.Born in Taunton on Nov. 30, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Anna (Lamoureaux) and William Wade, and had been raised and educated in Taunton.Joyce worked for many years at the Epicure Package Store, located on the Foxboro Common rotary, and had been a devoted volunteer at the Foxboro Food Pantry, where she supervised comings and goings for 25 years.Later in life, she was a social busy bee at the Foxboro Senior Center and was involved in many events -- pie baking, senior dinners and volunteering in office.She loved being with family, helping other people, eating ice cream, and watching the New England Patriots.She is survived by a daughter, Kristen Miller and her husband, David Miller, of Norton and Oak Bluffs; two sons, Wade Sonnenberg and his wife, Aliona Malai, of Foxboro, and Alan Sonnenberg and his wife, Linda Brown-Sonnenberg, of The Villages, Fla.; and a grandson, Nick Miller of Norton and Oak Bluffs.Calling hours will be held on Saturday, Feb. 3 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at O'Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton; followed at 11 a.m. by a prayer service, also at the funeral home.
