Richard J. Sullivan, Jr. age 61, of Brockton formerly of Woburn passed away January 30, 2018 after a long battle with prostate cancer. Born in Woburn he was the beloved son of Margaret E. (Gonsalves) Sullivan of Woburn and the late Richard J. Sullivan Sr.

Richard was raised and educated in Woburn and was a 1974 graduate of Woburn High School. He was the co-owner and Vice President of Rich's Transportation Inc. in Taunton. When not working, Richard enjoyed and was passionate about golfing. He was a Hall of Fame inductee at the LeBaron Hills Country Club in Lakeville, and was a former member of the Brockton Country Club where he played many rounds of golf and established some wonderful friendships throughout the years. He was big sports fan of all the local professional teams and enjoyed traveling with friends and family, especially on golf getaways. However, his greatest joy was his family. He cherished his time spent coaching his children in youth sports, attending all their games and always being present to support them in all their activities. He especially loved to teach them the game of golf. He was happiest when he was surrounded by his children, grandchildren and those he loved.

In addition to his father, Richard is sadly preceded in death by former spouse Deborah (Brown) Sullivan. He is survived by his children, Keri Sullivan Cote and her husband Matthew of Melrose, Ryan, Meaghan, and Courtney Sullivan, all of Brockton. Siblings, Robert Sullivan and his wife Marylou of Darien, CT, John Sullivan and his wife Cynthia of Easton, Paul Sullivan of Woburn, and David Sullivan and his wife Linda of Woburn. Loving Papa to Colin, Dylan and Rowan Cote of Melrose. Former husband of Kerry A. (MacDonald) Sullivan of Brockton and loving companion of Stephanie Roberson of Lakeville.
