Obituary

Mr. Richard M. Martin, a resident of Lawrence, formally of Andover, passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday, January 27. He was 23 years old.

Born in Norwood, Massachusetts, on October 4, 1994, he was the beloved son of Lisa M. Martin of Andover. Richard was employed by Stop & Shop for as a cashier. In his spare time, Richard loved to play video games, spend time sitting around a campfire and being in nature. Richard loved “Dead Pool”, a Marvel comic character that struggles with schizophrenia, something that Richard identified with. Richard was a wonderful and giving person and never had a bad thing to say about anyone. Richard spent his life making everyone that he knew happy. He had a special love for animals and, most of all, his loving family. He will be dearly missed by all who know him.

Richard is survived by his loving mother, Lisa M. Martin of Andover, maternal grandparents; Robert and Lorraine Martin of Methuen, siblings; Kristina M. Martin of Nashville, Tennessee, Brian M. Martin of Lowell, Mark A. Martin of Andover, Matthew J. Martin of Andover, Rachel O. Martin of Andover and James R. Martin of Andover; Aunt Elizabeth and her husband Paul Daulerio of Bridgewater.

His Funeral Service will be celebrated in the Andover Baptist Church, 7 Central Street, Andover on Saturday, February 3, 2018, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Calling hours will be held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover on Friday, February 2, 2018, from 4 to 8 PM. Interment will be privately held.
