Manuel "Manny" "Maneca" Rodrigues Ribeirinha, age 89, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, January 16, 2017. Born June 18, 1928, in Sa, Valpacos, Portugal. He was the son of the late Joao and Carolina Ribeirinha.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Helena. His two devoted daughters, Lucilene and Dianne, son-in-law Sergio Braga. He was extremely proud of his five grandchildren, Jon Manuel, Jessica Mari, Daniel Marcos, Lillian Carolina and Andre Luis. Manny will fondly be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to everyone. He loved to play music for all to enjoy and cherished the time spent attending all his grandchildren`s sports events as well as cooking and baking for them.
A special thank you to Life Care of Acton staff and Care Dementia for their attention and support towards Manny during these last few months.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to gather at the McLaughlin-Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St, Woburn, for visiting hours Friday from 5 thru 8 p.m. and again on Saturday morning at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 280 Main St., Woburn at 10 a.m. Services will conclude with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Woburn.
As per Manny`s wishes he would prefer folks not wear black and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Alzheimer`s Association of MA, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd, Waltham, MA 02452.
