Funeral services for Mrs. Pauline Childs, 84, of Sycamore, GA, will be held Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, Sycamore, GA. Mrs. Childs passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at home after extended illness.
Mrs. Childs was the daughter of Joseph Edgar Evans and Sally Callie Gore Evans. Mrs. Childs was a restaurant owner as well as other jobs. She loved flowers; her grandchildren adored her and she enjoyed cooking. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by the father of her children, Clifford Nixon and 2 grandchildren, Jonathan Nixon and Jesse Brown and her second husband, Bo Beard, 2 sisters and a brother.
Mrs.Childs is survived by four daughters, JoAnn (Dan) Taylor, Sycamore, GA; Vickey (Bob) Montroy, Brunswick, GA; Lorraine Brown, Ashburn, GA; Patsy (Johnny) Daniels, Centralhatchee, GA and nine grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
