Orbegoso, Alfonso Gonzalez, 78, born and raised in Peru, and long-time resident of Needham, MA, passed away peacefully in hospice care on January 15, 2018. Beloved husband of Margaretta Keyes Orbegoso, and loving father of Ricardo, Alfonso, and Geoffrey.
He earned his bachelor's degree in Agronomy at Universidad Agraria La Molina in Lima, Peru, and his M.B.A. at Columbia University in New York in 1968. He held various jobs as a financial executive. The last 16 years he imported produce from Latin America and Asia.
Visiting hours for relatives and friends will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Ave. Needham on Friday, Jan. 19, from 10-11AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:30AM at St. Joseph's Church in Needham. Burial will follow at Needham Cemetery.
