Obituary

Eleanor “Helen” Tedino, 92, of Orchard Avenue, Greenville, died Monday, January 15, 2018 at Greenville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the widow of Frank P. Tedino. They had been married for 62 years before his death in 2007.

Born in Cranston, she was a daughter of the late Salvatore and Archangela (Caprichio) Ruggieri. She had lived in Smithfield since 1956 and had previously lived in Providence and Cranston.

She had worked at Shepard’s Department Store for 21 years before she retired in 1973. She was an avid golfer and member of Melody Hill Golf Club and the Smithfield Senior Center. She enjoyed traveling with her husband.

She is survived by her children: Patricia L. Salley and her husband, Bob of Scituate and Frank A. Tedino and his wife, Claudia of Johnston, her four grandchildren: Donna Costantino, Mark Salley, Jarred and Travis Tedino, her four great grandchildren: Michael, Jason and Julia Salley and Robert Costantino and her sister, Mary Nauman of Smithfield. She was the sister of the late Frank and Pasco Ruggieri, Rose Bouchard, Viola Salvagna and Teresa DeCristofaro.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 11:00 in St. Philip Church, Greenville. Visitation will be held Friday from 8:30 to 10:30 int the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville.
