Robert A. Balents, 81, of Boston and Fort Pierce, FL, died on Friday, January 12, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Emily (Matarazzo) Balents for 57 years.
Born in Boston on March 24, 1936, he was the beloved son of the late Leon and Beatrice (Rossi) Balents, formerly of Hyde Park.
Mr. Balents loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-daughter.
In addition to his wife, he survived by his children, Robyn Balents of Rehoboth, Lisa Grieci of Shallotte, NC, Bobby Balents of Micco, FL and Rene Padula of Franklin, eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
He was predeceased by his brother, Leon Balents, formerly of NY.
FUNERAL HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED: Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Saturday, January 20 at 9:15 a.m. from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main Street in Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) followed by a funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Church in Franklin at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow at the parish cemetery.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 5 – 8 p.m.
