Peter Capriglione, 55, of Gorham, passed away unexpectedly on January 7, 2018 at his home of natural causes. He was born in Astoria, Queens, New York on September 7, 1962 the son of Anthony and Jennie (Gagliano) Capriglione and moved to New Hampshire as a young adult. He had a successful career as a Correctional Officer at the NH Department of Corrections, retiring at age 45 at the rank of Sargent. Peter’s passion had everything to do with the outdoors. He loved the North Country, enjoyed time at Moose Brook, loved to hike in the woods, run, ski, snow shoe, lift weights and, was an excellent football player, back in the day. He was an intelligent man who had a kind heart and was always there to lend a helping hand.
Family members include his mother Jennie Capriglione of FL; his brother Salvatore Capriglione of FL; his nephew Thomas Capriglione; his Aunt Rosie and Aunt Anna of FL; many close friends; co workers at the DOC; his former wife Tina Pageau; step daughters Jennifer and Kayla Correau who loved him very much; many other relatives from New York. He will also be missed by the dogs who loved to walk with him whom he called, “the Babies”. He was predeceased by his father, Anthony Capriglione, and his Uncle Jerry.
A Memorial Service for Peter will be held at a later date to be announced. He will be laid to rest with his father in Florida. The Bryant Funeral Home in Gorham is in charge of the arrangements.
