Mrs. Vivian Hensley Rice, 94, beloved wife of the late John W. Rice, entered into rest on Wednesday, January 10, 2018.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Platt’s Crawford Avenue with the Rev. Dr. Kevin Steele officiating. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery.
Mrs. Rice, a life long resident of Augusta, attended Tubman High School for Girls. She was a member of National Hills Baptist Church.
She is survived by sons; John William Rice, Jr. (Becky) and Robby Leo Rice (Janet), her daughters; Carol R. Sheppard (Palmer) and Sandra R. Moyer (Rhett), her sisters; Merle Jose and Patricia Smart, as well as nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; John William Rice, her parents; Vernon and Iris Hensley and her brothers; Vernon and William Hensley.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 12:00 until the time of service.
