Barbara (Walker) Paradis, 84, of Gorham, passed away on Thursday January 11, 2018 at the St. Vincent de Paul Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born in Gorham on July 30, 1933 the daughter of Harold and Florence (Williams) Walker and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Gorham High School in 1951 and was a member of Holy Family Church. She worked for the telephone company, several Gorham restaurants, including the Fireside Restaurant, for many years. She enjoyed summers spent with her family at the family camp at Twitchell Lake, where she liked to water ski. Barbara enjoyed sewing and knitting.
Family includes her children Valerie Goyette and husband David of Gorham, NH, Ann Bergeron and husband Raymond of Milan, NH, and Keith Paradis and wife Gail of Melbourne, FL; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a sister June Micucci of West Buxton, ME; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Paradis and her sons Gerald Paradis and Wayne Paradis.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday January 18, 2018 at 10 AM at Holy Family Church. Interment will be in the Lary Cemetery in Gorham in the spring. There will be no calling hours. Donations in her memory may be made to Holy Family Church, 151 Emery St., Berlin, NH, 03570 or to a charity of one’s choice.
