Carl E. McGee, age 73, of Clarksville, Virginia, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018. He was born October 12, 1944 in Halifax County, Virginia to the late Willie Carl McGee and the late Lilly Forlines Gregory McGee.
He was the former owner and operator of Exxon Station in Clarksville.
He was predeceased by his wife, Betty Dale Robbins McGee and one sister, Joyce Wilkerson.
Carl is survived by three daughters, Sharon McGee Lane and husband, Robert of Roxboro, NC, Pamela Vargo-Barker of Roxboro, NC, and Wendy Dale Pulliam and significant other, Clay Wootton of Clarksville, VA; two sons, Jeremy William Vargo and wife, Betty of Grassy Creek, NC and Jamie Steve Vargo and wife, Tracey of Cornwall, NC; eight grandchildren, Brandy Puryear, Kimberly Lane, Edward Puryear, Jr., Kelly Wilmouth, Steven Lacks, Dawson Vargo, Dustin Vargo, and Ashley Vargo; and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three nieces, Wanda Wilkerson Hailey, Dorothy Ramsey, and Vivian Neale; family friend, Stacey Rawlings; and the CNA's of LCAAA, Deborah Colgate and Angela Stovall.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Friendship United Methodist Church Cemetery, 25619 Highway 49, Chase City, VA 23924.
